Packaging Materials & Products Packaged

Hamba packaging machines fill and seal pre-formed plastic, paper, glass, and aluminum containers of nearly any design from 100 grams to over 2 kilograms. Hot or cold filled products with low to extreme viscosity including pastes, products with particulate like fruit pieces, and dry products. For additional flexibility, your product canbe filled in multiple layers with different products or flavors in each layer. Multi-cell containers can befilled with combinations of products from dry fill items to fruit pieces and sauces. On some machines up to four different flavor products, with multiple product layers can be filled and sealed simultaneously giving you the same capability as three separate filling machines.

Our packaging flexibility continues with the ability to apply popular container seals and membranes from individual foil membranes to continuous lidding from roll-stock in nearly any material. Additionally, if your product requires a plastic over-cap we integrate the capping system directly into your Hamba packaging machine. For increased capability, an integral case-packer can be added to your machine, reducing or eliminating the need for additional secondary packaging equipment and conveyor systems.

Product Safety

Hamba packaging machinery protects your product from bacterial contamination through packaging material decontamination by hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) or Ultraviolet Light (UV). Additionally, steam sterilized product fillers and tunnels with over-pressurized sterile air systems guard against outside air contamination during product filing and sealing. An integral seal testing system evaluates every product container for a proper seal and automatically eliminates any substandard container from the production line.

State of the art industrial computers (PLC systems) continuously monitor all product critical quality systems such as temperature, sterile airflow and pressure, H2O2 flow, product seal integrity, and machinery guard systems. The PLC system tracks and reports anomalies and if precedented, will halt production of the packaging system to prevent product that does not meet your quality standards from reaching the consumer. Furthermore, Hamba packaging equipment is built in compliance with 3-A Sanitary Standards and utilize proven clean-in-place (CIP) technology to ensure proper and complete internal machine cleaning at the end of your production cycle.

Shelf-Life

Your shelf-stable product combined with the correct packaging material filled and sealed on Hamba aseptic packaging equipment will yield an exceptional shelf life. Extended shelf life can translate into increased consumer satisfaction, reduced returns from retailers for out of date products, and increased product distribution flexibility. The advantages of increased shelf can result in a very positive affect on your company’s bottom line.

Mechanical Durability and Line Efficiency

Hamba packaging equipment is built from the ground up to run your product safely and efficiently for decades. Your Hamba packaging equipment is custom designed and engineered for your product. However, one thing remains the same on all Hamba machines, our high quality engineering and construction.
Utilizing proven construction techniques, materials, and knowledge gained from over fifty years of experience, Hamba machines are built to last in the harshest environments. To aid in the ease of care, where appropriate mechanical components are connected to a central lubrication system controlled by a PLC of your choice, to provide autonomous lubrication that increases the life of critical components. Preventive maintenance tasks are easily completed and require little time, thus allowing for more production time.

Ease of Operation and Line Efficiency

Hamba packaging equipment can be equipped with your choice of state of the art operator machine interface systems. These interface systems make a Hamba machine simple to operate and give continuous operator feedback. A minimal amount of training is required for an operator to understand and operate the systems associated with CIP, sterilization, and production. Depending on the configuration of your packaging equipment,
a single operator can supply the machine with packaging material and monitor machine operation. This overall ease of operation lends itself toward increased production line efficiencies and reduced operator-training time and costs.
